Congestive heart failure (CHF) is a common emergency in small animal practice, which can be challenging to nurse. Whether it is the first time that patient has shown signs of cardiovascular disease or they are in the terminal stages of a chronic heart problem, we need to know how to nurse them all! This lecture will cover triage, emergency stabilisation, pathophysiology, physical examination, treatment and monitoring of the of the congestive heart failure patient.
